Moore collection of 19th century Chinese paintings on rice paper, [1800?-1899?].

Chinese paintings on rice paper of the sort that were made specifically for foreign trade during the 19th century. Paintings mounted and bound; most now disbound (one set of six paintings still in binding). Subjects of paintings include boats, people, and birds. Printed booklet (L'art japonais, c1926) included with collection.
